Itinerary

Depart from Kampala at 8:00 AM for your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Located at the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon, this park is home to over 100 mammal species and 606 bird species. As you drive through the park’s diverse ecosystems, you may spot wildlife along the way. Overnight: Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park Meals: Lunch, Dinner

In the morning, head to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. This excursion provides a chance to observe the elusive and fast-moving chimpanzees in their natural forest habitat. The walk through the gorge is a remarkable experience, with stunning views and the chance to see various forest species. Alternatively, visit the Maramagambo Forest, famous for its bat caves, the blue lake, and a variety of primates. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you'll encounter large populations of hippos, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife. End the day with an evening game drive in the park. After an early breakfast, we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, either via the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, or through a more direct route, passing vast agricultural expanses. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, followed by a nature walk or a community visit to learn about the local culture. Overnight: Lodge in Bwindi Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. Then, embark on your gorilla trekking adventure in the dense forests of Bwindi. This can be a physically challenging trek, so be prepared with sturdy footwear, a rain jacket, and a packed lunch. A walking stick will be provided for those who need one. The trek may last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the gorillas’ movements.
