Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park
Depart early from your hotel or residence in Mombasa and drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway.
Enter Tsavo East National Park through Bachuma Gate and begin your game drive. Look out for red
elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. Visit popular sights such as Aruba Dam and Mudanda
Rock. Enjoy lunch and check-in at your selected lodge or camp. After a short rest, head out for an
afternoon game drive, then return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West National Park
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Tsavo East as you exit the park and proceed to
Tsavo West National Park via the Tsavo River Gate. Upon arrival, begin a game drive en route to your
lodge. Tsavo West is known for its dramatic landscapes, including the Shetani Lava Flow and Mzima
Springs, where you may see hippos and crocodiles through an underwater viewing chamber. After
lunch and some rest, embark on an afternoon game drive exploring the park’s rugged terrain and
possibly spotting leopards, rhinos, and elephants. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and
overnight.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Mombasa
Begin with an early morning game drive to catch the animals at their most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Enjoy a final scenic drive through Tsavo West as you begin your journey
back to Mombasa. Arrive in the afternoon, concluding your adventurous 3-day safari.
