Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park
Your safari starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or home in Mombasa. Drive
on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, and after approximately 3–4 hours, arrive at Tsavo East
National Park’s Bachuma Gate. After registration, go on a thrilling game drive and spot red
elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes. A trip to Aruba Dam offers excellent wildlife
watching. Late morning, check into your choice of lodge—options are Voi Safari Lodge,
Sentrim Tsavo, or Manyatta Camp for budget, and Ashnil Aruba Lodge, Satao Camp, or Voi
Wildlife Lodge for upmarket. After lunch and afternoon siesta, go on an afternoon game drive,
maybe to Lugard Falls or Mudanda Rock. At dusk, return to your lodge for dinner and
overnight stay.
Day 2: Mombasa to Tsavo East
Begin your day with an early morning game drive to view the animals of the park at sunrise.
Afterwards, return to the lodge for breakfast and some R&R. In mid-morning, check out and take one final game drive as you depart the park. A lunch break can be scheduled along the way back to Mombasa, where you arrive in the late afternoon, completing your unforgettable safari adventure.
